A royal congratulations is to be issued by members of Bridlington Town Council to celebrate the longest reigning monarch in British history.

An historic proclamation will be held at Queens Square, overlooking Bridlington Harbour (adjacent to Harbour Tavern), and Bridlington town councillors will be in attendance on Wednesday at 4pm to mark Elizabeth II’s 63 years, seven months and two days on the throne.

The event will also see town crier David Hinde make a proclamation at 4.18pm - the exact time some believe she will become the longest reigning monarch.
