‘TIS THE season for creative juices to get flowing for those who would like to design the mayor’s official Christmas card.

The annual competition, open to anyone aged between five and 16, has begun and festive designs are welcome to Bridlington Town Council up until Friday 23 November.

A prize of £50 Argos vouchers and a family ticket to the pantomime at the Spa Bridlington will be awarded to the winner, whose design will feature on cards sent out by the mayor.

Coun Michael Charlesworth, Mayor of Bridlington, said: “We had a tremendous response last year and the one that came out really stood out. There is no criteria for it.”

The Spa Bridlington donated the prize of the pantomime tickets to this year’s show of Beauty and the Beast, featuring the first Big Brother winner, Craig Phillips.

Entries must include the child’s name, age, school and should be posted or delivered to Bridlington Town Council, 62 Quay Road, Bridlington, YO16 4HX.
