THE Bridlington and Wolds Scale Model Club is to hold its first ever show at Driffield Showground.
The scale model show will take place at the showground, in conjunction with Driffield Showground Events, on Sunday, September 2 from 10am to 4pm.
On display will be scale models from the local club and up to 20 other clubs from all over the country.
There will be competitions to be judged in the various subject categories on the model club stands and an award will be presented to the best model club display.
Also in attendance will be traders selling models, books, tools and everything the modeller needs.
The club is a member of the International Plastic Modellers Society and representatives will be on hand to talk about and advise on modelling.
There will also be a model-making event for younger visitors, with kits supplied by Airfix, which can be made and painted at the show. Entry to the show is £1.50 per adult and free to those under 15. Car parking will be free.
The Bridlington and Wolds Scale Model Club now has well over 30 members drawn from as far north as Whitby and as far south as Grimsby.
Club nights are held on the first Monday of the month at The Station Buffet, in Bridlington, from 7.30pm.
