Invited guests enjoyed Bridlington’s civic dinner and raised money for the mayor’s chosen charity.
Around £345 was raised from an auction on the evening, which will be given to Bridlington’ Salvation Army.
Only half of the donated items were sold at the event, which has held at the Expanse Hotel on Saturday, April 20, with the rest being given for the Salvation Army for future use.
Bridlington Mayor, Coun Michael Charlesworth, said the event “was a great night”.
Captain Lynne Edwards, of the Bridlington Salvation Army, said: “We’re really greatful for the support and it was a wonderful night. Everyone was very generous, and those things that weren’t sold on the evening will be used at our community sales, or at our fairs.”
Entertainment on the night came from Elvis tribute Steve Caprice, and singer Geoff Broadway. Mr Caprice donated his £150 fee to the Katie Walker Cancer Trust, while Mr Broadway donated his fee to the mayor’s charity, the Salvation Army.
