CHRISTMAS spirit is in the air and a festive fair has raised over £1,000 for charity.
The Bridlington Ladies Lifeboat Guild received generous donations, including a large sum from the Beswick family, and raised £1,830.40 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.
The fair was held at the Expanse Hotel, North Marine Drive, Bridlington, last Thursday, and was opened by Bridlington Town Mayor, Michael Charlesworth.
June Chippendale, of the Lifeboat Guild, said: “I was very pleased with the result. We like to raise every penny we can for the Lifeboats.”
She also thanked everybody involved for their donations.
