An exhibition which features pieces using remnants of the old Three Brothers fishing coble has opened at a Bridlington gallery.

Gallery 49, on Market Place in Old Town, will hold the exhibition until May 25, at which local artists work will be displayed.

Three Brothers is a 100 year old coble that has recently been refurbished by boat builders John Clarkson and Joe Gelsthorpe with funding from the Bridlington Harbour Coble Preservation Society. Each old plank that was used during the coble’s refurbishment was used as a template for its replacement, and these pieces were given to local artists to make into works of art.
