A Bridlington teenager is the latest entrant in a competition to become the region’s next female ambassador.
Jade Brown, 19, of Georgian Way, dreams of one day becoming a model and has entered the Miss Scarborough 2013 competition.
Former Bridlington School student Jade, who works at a cafe in the town, said she is hopeful the competition could lead on to bigger and better things.
She said: “I have always wanted to get into modelling and hopefully this will give me some experience. I am looking forward to the competition.”
Miss Scarborough contestants will take part in a final in May, with the winner featuring in the Miss England final in Torquay on June 15 and representing the region at various functions throughout the year. All applicants will be invited to an audition in mid-April, with those successful going on to the regional final.
Any interested businesses which wish to sponsor the event or donate prizes should contact Diane Yalezo on 07864 028302.
