Humberside Police have formally named the man who died after a section of a building collapsed on Cliff Road on Monday 6 October.
Robert Young, 61, of Bridlington died as a result of injuries sustained from falling masonry on Monday.
The tragedy also saw taxi driver Neil Dean, whose car was badly damaged during the incident, narrowly escape with his life.
A full structural assessment of the building is on-going. The police cordon and road closed are expected to remain in place until further notice to ensure public safety.
Police say post mortem examination is due to take place today and a file will be submitted to the coroner.
