The Flamborough Boxing Day dip was one to look out for this year with more than 100 spectators present to watch dozens of dippers brave the cold of the North Sea.
The theme for this year’s event was Hawaiian with participants wearing the appropriate clothing while braving the elements.
The dippers were set off by Richard Traves. Organisers hope that the dip will raise more than £1,000 for Flamborough preschool.
The event, running for a sixth year, was supported by Flamborough Longsword Dancers performing in aid of local charities.
The Longsword Dancer’s tour began at the White Horse in Bempton before moving on to Seabirds pub in Tower Street, the Victorian Club in Chapel Street and The Royal Dog and Duck.
Organisers would like to thank Danny Major at the Flamborough RNLI for being on stand-by during the dip.
Organisers are looking at a Pirates of the Caribbean theme for next year.
Free Press photographer Paul Atkinson went along to capture the events.
