New mayor of Bridlington John Copsey launches the town's business in bloom competition 2015

The annual Bridlington Business in Bloom competition has been launched in the town by the Bridlington Town Council.

The competition looks to reward a business in Bridlington that shows exceptional dedication to display floral enhancements to their business premises.

The Town Council hopes by running this award it encourages the businesses in the Town to make their premises look lovely which will have a positive knock on effect for visitors to the Town.

The winner, chosen by the Bridlington in Bloom Committee, will be awarded with an engraved cup and a Bridlington Town Council plaque.

The plaque will be retained as a memento of their success and the cup will be returned to be presented to the winner of the next year’s competition.

Entry forms for the competition are available on the website at http://www.bridlington.gov.uk/index.php?id=bloom. You can also pick them up from the Bridlington Town Council Offices during office opening hours from 9am until 1pm Monday to Friday.

Closing date for this year’s competition is 7 August 2015.

Judging will take place the following week with the winners being presented their awards at the Full Council meeting on Wednesday 16 September 2015.
