BRIDLINGTON’s most famous chef was married last month.
Lee Bennett, who used to live in Bridlington, is now executive chef of the Equinox Restaurant at the five-star Swissotel The Tamford in Singapore.
He married Miss Diana Espinel at Waterton Park Hotel in Wakefield on October 2.
Diana is an events operation manager and the only daughter of Luis Espinel and Rosa Calderon. She was given away by her father and wore a Justin Alexander gown and veil by Pauline Nichol Bridal Veils and carried a bouquet by Upsadaisy Bridal Flowers.
The bridesmaids were Antonia, Pilar and Alejandra Espinel, sisters of the bride, Louise Bennet, sister of the groom, and friend of the couple, Korina.
The groom is the son of Robert and Janet Bennett of Bridlington, and was joined at the altar by best man Shaun Burton, the groom’s father Robert, the groom’s brother Jason Bennett, the bride’s father Luis Espinel, the bride’s step-father Francine Calderon, and the bride’s grandfather Javier Mesa.
Their reception was held at Walton Hall, Waterton Park Hotel. The couple are to live in Singapore.
Lee started his career at Rags Restaurant in Bridlington and has held a string of high class chef positions and made a number of TV appearances. Before moving to Singapore he was executive chef at London’s exclusive Le Pont De La Tour restaurant.
