A MAN needed hospital treatment after being assaulted by a caller at his home.
The 40-year-old answered a knock on the door of his flat to be given a blow to his head by an unknown man.
It happened just after 1am on Wednesday after a man was said to have got into a block of flats on Trinity Road, Bridlington, before making his way to the door of the victim who was treated but not detained at Scarborough hospital for a cut to the side of his head .
Police say the attacker was not known to the victim and describe him as white, 6ft tall and of slim build. He had shoulder length, dark, messy hair and was wearing blue jeans.
