Police are appealing for information after a Bridlington woman was assaulted when she was approached by two men.

The 43-year-victim was assaulted as she walked along Scarborough Road in Bridlington at 1am on Sunday January 31.

She was walking from Scarborough Crescent and had just reached the junction with Scarborough Road when she was approached from behind and pushed in the back.

The victim stumbled but then was able to turn round at which point she slapped one of two men in the face and ran off towards Burstall Hill.

She was uninjured but very shaken.

The suspects are both described as white. One was in his early 20s, 5ft 8ins tall, heavy build, with brown hair and wearing a dark coloured hooded top.
