A CHARITABLE trust has been rewarding talented youngsters to help them reach their potential.
Each year The Parker Homes Trust, set up to benefit children in Burlington, but later extended to the whole of Bridlington, seeks boys or girls up to the age of 18 and who live in Bridlington to apply for grants.
These Year 11 worthy youngsters shared more than £500 to help them in their studies which included the fields of music, martial arts, sport and dance.
Coun Margaret Chapman MBE, chairman of the Trustees, said: “It is always good to be able to help talented young people, however small the sum, to help them meet their potential.”
The Trust was set up by Mr Parker who established the Parker Children’s Home in Marton Road, Bridlington. On its sale, the proceeds were put into the Trust and interest from the money received is used to benefit the youngsters.
