Woman hit with metal bar

A WOMAN was assaulted with a metal bar in South Back Lane in Bridlington last Thursday.
At 2.42pm a woman and a man were arguing in the street when it was alleged the man hit the woman with a bar.

She had a bruised arm and stomach and was taken to Scarborough Hospital but was not kept in over night.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested of suspicion of assault and released on bail pending further enquiries.
