THREE lifeboats and a warship are standing by in heavy seas just off Flamborough Head where a tug boat is in danger of being blown into the headland.
The "Jadi" lost all power in gale force conditions around 6.30am and was drifting toward the rocks.

Bridlington, Flamborough and Filey lifeboats were called and a nearby Belgian warship "Crocus" went to the scene.

After trying to tow the boat away from the cliffs it eventually managed to drop anchor.

The rescue craft are now standing by in case the anchor slips until another tug which is making the five hour journey from the Humber can reach the stricken "Jadi" and tow it to safety.
