IF more people are coming into Bridlington on holiday, where are local people going for their breaks?
Are they swapping the Costas for the Cotswolds and staying in the UK to save cash?

Steve Allerston, director at Holiday Travel, in Promenade, Bridlington, said: "People are still booking although the volume is a little bit down.

"We are different in Bridlington because we have so many retired people who book British coach trips anyway but I have spoken to people at large caravan parks and they were very, very busy.

"We are still busy in the office and people are still booking continental holidays but business is brisk rather than booming. People seem to be scaling back their budgets because of the cost of living."
