ANOTHER teacher has been suspended from Headlands School.
The Free Press understands a female member of staff is being investigated over an allegation she sent inappropriate text messages to a male pupil.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has refused to go into any details about the nature of the allegati
on. However, it issued a statement which said: "A member of staff at an East Riding school is currently suspended pending an investigation.
"We will not be making any further statement until the investigation has concluded."
And Philip Holmes, assistant director (children and young people services), of the council, added: "The school has acted swiftly and appropriately to deal with this issue."
The suspension comes a few weeks after the publication of a report into teacher/pupil relationships at the school from 1991-2004.
