FORGET the Beckhams – Bridlington has the Peckhams after seven posh chicks hatched this Easter.
The 1st Bridlington Cub Scouts were given some eggs on a recent visit to Hilderthorpe allotments and on Easter Sunday six of them hatched, followed by a seventh on Tuesday.

Cub Thomas Nixon-Fozard was given the task of looking after the incubator with the eggs and when they hatched they were passed to Heather, 10, and Davey, seven, McCall.

David Butland, scout leader, said: "The chicks were first called the Peckhams – David Peckham, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. Then so many hatched out Thomas ran out of names. Thomas insists on calling one Tweetie, but I have a feeling that everyone who gets them will give them their own names, though.

"They are going to be looked after by different cubs in turn – a week at a time – until they are old enough to fend for themselves in May."
