House fire started by smoking

A HOUSE fire in Lawson Road, Bridlington on Monday is thought to have started after a woman was smoking while using oxygen therapy.
Firefighters were called at 11.27am, three crews attended and two people were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Another occupants was not injured but was checked over by paramedics.

The fire started on the first floor and the house sustained extensive damage.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to put out the fire and fire crews left the scene at around 12.45pm.
