HAVE your say on the future of Bridlington's community wardens.
Funding for the service runs out next March and local people are being asked if or how it should continue after then.
All Bridlington residents have been invited to take part in a council-run survey, with one option being to expand the area the te
am operates in.
Nigel Brignall, manager of the community wardens team, said: "We currently work in the centre of Bridlington providing a number of important services including removing graffiti from property, carrying out daily high-visibility patrols, providing crime prevention advice, fitting basic security equipment and issuing fixed penalty notices to people who drop litter or allow their dogs to foul.
"The wardens also work closely with other organisations and parts of the council to improve the area.
"This may include picking up litter, working with young people and helping vulnerable people have a better quality of life."
The survey will be sent out to all houses in Bridlington and must be returned by July 16.
Mr Brignall said: "It is important people pass on their views. The results of the survey will provide valuable information to those who will decide whether the community wardens service will continue."
