SPRING was definitely in the air at St Oswald's Church, Flamborough, as colourful flower displays lined the walls for Easter.
Fund-raising events also took place throughout the weekend including bric-a-brac sales, cake stalls and a book sale in the church hall.

Parochial church secretary Pauline Bravey said despite the bad weather, there was a good turn-out.

"I was surprised and pleased that a lot of people attended," she said, "I would like to thank everybody who made donations and to those who helped on stalls and baked cakes."

The money will go into the church funds and help with general expenses including building and repair work.

There are plans to update the church hall to to provide better access for disabled people and proceeds from the Easter events will help pay for the improvements.
