EMILY Tinsley wants to be a deep sea diver when she grows up – but it looks like she could also be an artist and a writer.
Emily, eight, was among members of an after school art club run by Burlington Junior School in Bridlington who were entered into a national competition by art teacher Helen Rice.

To take part the youngsters had to draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grew up and write a brief reason why.

Emily's entry of a deep sea diver caught the judges' eye and she was declared the outright winner from entrants from around 14 schools.

Emily's proud mum, Paula Tinsley, of Aysgarth Rise, Bridlington, said: "Her prize was to have a book named after her, it is called "When I Grow Up Featuring Emily Tinsley And Other School Children."

Paula and husband Paul also have a son Evan, 10, who goes to Burlington School.
