AFRICA and the Caribbean came to Quay Primary School in Bridlington last week.
Its Year Five carnival of culture event on an Afro-Caribbean theme featured poetry, songs, dance and music.
Pupils created their own colourful themed costumes and masks and it was the first time since Moorfield Junior School became Quay Primary that the school has had the chance to use its steel band.
The event followed work studying the Gambia in Africa and the Caribbean, including the Wilberforce campaign against the slave trade.
