SKIPSEA village green was the perfect setting for a Bank Holiday afternoon of May Day celebrations.
Children danced around the Maypole in the sunshine, morris dancers entertained the crowds and 11-year-old Sophie Horton was crowned Skipsea's May Queen.

"We had more than expected, I think the fine weather brought everyone out.
"Everybody really enjoyed themselves, especially the morris dancers!"
