MORE than 400 people enjoyed a prestigious awards ceremony to recognise the cream of Bridlington businesses.
The black tie event at The Spa Bridlington last Friday was a huge success and saw Rawfusion (formerly Rawhide) claim the title of Business of the Year for 2008.
Malcolm Dyl, managing director of the Carnaby-based fashion accessories company, was delighted with the award and praised the efforts of his staff.
"It has been the drive of our people which has got us to where we are now and it will be our staff who will take us to the next level in these challenging times."
Rawfusion makes Chilli Pepper, Playboy, Pacha, Chupa Chups and Marvel products.
The category winners were: H Lount & Son Ltd: Charity Farm Caravan Park – the business which has done the most for Bridlington (voted by Free Press readers); Tuk-Tuk Travel – best start-up business; Rags Hotel and Restaurant – best small business; and East Yorkshire Housing Association – best medium/large business.
