A FORMER Headlands School clasroom supervisor was today warned he faced a "substantial" prison term after admitting a full sexual relationship with a 15-year-old pupil.
A jury had initially failed to reach a verdict in the case last September, but during a retrial at Hull Crown Court today, Christopher Reen pleaded guilty to six charges of sexual assault on a child.
The offences took place between August 7 and September 13 2008 and include full intercourse with the girl.
Last year Reen, of Mount Drive, Bridlington, admitted a charge of sexual activity with a child by being a person in a position of trust.
At the time of the affair his wife was pregnant with their first child and Reen had just replaced a teaching assistant at the school who had had an 'inappropriate relationship' with a male teenage pupil.
The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentencing report and Reen was allowed to walk free from court today to be sentenced at a hearing later next month.
