AN angling boat with five people on board ran aground on rocks off Flamborough Head in thick fog on Sunday.
Flamborough Lifeboat, was called out at 5.40pm to rescue the boat which had become lost in the fog.

A lifeboat spokeswoman said: "The lifeboat crew had a difficult job locating the stranded boat in the thick fog but eventually found it just off Flamborough Head near Selwicks Bay.

"It was discovered that the boat had lost its propeller on the rocks, so the crew had to secure a line to the boat and then tow it, along with the five persons on board, safely back to Bridlington harbour before returning to the lifeboat station at South Landing."
