A DOG-WALKER had two arrows fired at her as she walked along the Gypsey Road playing fields.
Neither arrow hit her but one flew past her face and the other stuck in the ground close to where she was walking.
Police Community Support Officer Andy Hanks said: "We are taking this very seriously.
"It was a very dangerous thing to do and could have caused a nasty injury if she had been hit.
"If there are any witnesses to the incident, or if anybody knows where the arrows have come from, we urge them to contact us."
He said the arrows looked home-made and were very distinctive, with red wool wrapped around them.
Anybody with any information should contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060222, quoting log number 254 of May 13.
