ARMED police closed off Trinity Road on Tuesday evening during a three hour stand-off with a suspected knifeman.
Riot vans attended the scene at 5.22pm after receiving reports of a disturbance in a property along Trinity Road.

Dozens of passersby were turned away from the scene as the police cordened off all entrances to the road with around nine police vehicles and an ambulance waiting on standby.

Police entered the property at 8.29pm after unsuccessful negotiations and arrested a 31 year-old man on suspicion of assault and affray.
