AFTER the stone monolith, the rock sculptures and the stone circle, we now have the seahorse.
It is the latest work of art to mysteriously appear at Flamborough.
Reaching about 15 or 20ft up the face of South Landing cliff is a stone outline of a seahorse, overlooking the original stone monolith built more than three weeks ago which is still standing.
This corner of the headland is rapidly becoming a magnet for all things weird and wacky but no-one knows for certain who the artists are.
We understand the latest addition arrived either last Wednesday evening or possibly early on Thursday morning.
Free Press reader Stacey Coultas, of Constable Road, Flamborough, e-mailed us some pictures of the new attraction.
She said: "On Sunday I walked my dog Bonnie down to South Landing. We had a shock as we turned the corner from the car park onto the beach – we only expected to see the monolith but found this seahorse as well.
"Some men had a bonfire going the night before the monolith was built and I found the remains of a second bonfire when I went for a closer inspection of the seahorse.
"I presume it is the same people.
"They have brought a lot of business, people and pets to the area."
Free Press reporter Alan Brook, who has been following the progress of the Flamborough phenomena, would love to talk to their creators.
