JEREMY HARTILL
General Manager
Aged 52, married.
Lives in Beverley.
Has been Spa General Manager since 2000.

SINCE the Old Spa closed he has been working from temporary premises at Sewerby Hall and is glad to be back in his new building.

Not least because his new office has an unrivalled view of Bridlington Bay for the first time.

Watching his new charge take shape has been an exciting time, and as re-opening day draws near he can't wait for the show to get on the road.

Before becoming Spa general manager, he had a 30-year career in the theatre industry. He started on the technical side and then moved into management.

"One of the delights about this project has been the real teamwork it has involved," he said.

Of the launch events, he said he was really looking forward to the Classical Gala on June 1.

"It features a 56-piece orchestra, it will be really nice to see a big orchestra in the Royal Hall which we have not seen for years," said Mr Hartill.

Is the prospect of running the region's flagship enterprise daunting?

"No, not really, it is a very big job with high expectations, and very exciting," he said.
