A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was mugged for his iPhone by two men in Bridlington.
The boy was walking on his own along St Wilfred Road in Bridlington between 10pm and 10.45pm on Saturday, June 9, and passed two men who he didn’t know.
A short time later the boy walked past the men again and one of them began a conversation with him, before allegedly assaulting him.
The 17-year-old fell to the floor, and one of the men stole his iPhone. He gestured to give the boy his phone back, before allegedly assaulting him again. The two men then ran away in the direction of the subway
The 17-year-old boy sustained neck, cheek and jaw injuries in the incident.
The offender is described as a white man, aged around 19-years-old with short straight brown hair and stubble. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black jumper.
The man who was with him did not get involved in the incident, but was stood next to him throughout.
Now police are appealing for information about the attack and Tom Napier, Detective Sergeant at Humberside Police, said: “This is an attack on a male walking home minding his own business.
“He has been attacked twice by the same suspect. The other male with the suspect I am told has taken no active part in the offence.
“I would urge anyone with any information to contact the police. Have you been told of the offence or have you been offered the phone?”
