Quay Primary School performed its nativity play to a packed hall of parents and teachers last Friday.
The school had to put on two showings of the play so parents of the 120-strong cast could all get the chance to watch.
Entitled ‘Once Upon a Manger’ was performed by the school’s early years children between the ages of four and six.
They had been practising for the past couple of weeks for the big day and the final performance went down very well, even bringing tears to the eyes of some parents.
The story was told through a mixture of songs and narration, which helped create a marvellous atmosphere.
Mrs Jones, who put the show together, said: “We love to do it and the children love to do it.
“In our performances every child gets the chance to come on stage and play a part, which is really important.”
