Andrew Steed will appear in Jack at the Beanstalk

A LOCAL lad made good is one of two new stars announced to appear in this year’s pantomime at Bridlington Spa.

Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant, Bridlington’s own Craig Harper, and X Factor finalist, Andy Steed, have joined the cast for the 2011 pantomime, Jack and The Beanstalk.

Performances start on Wednesday, 14 December and run every night to Tuesday, 3 January 2012 and will also feature former Ground Force presenter, Charlie Dimmock, as Fairy Organic, and Ian Parkin from Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

Bridlington-born Harper has become a huge hit on the internet and the cabaret circuit and made it through to the semi-finals of the ITV talent show, with his hilarious take-off of boy band, Boyzone, which had audiences and judges in hysterics.

Andy Steed sang his way past over 50,000 X Factor hopefuls to be named as one of the final five in the competition and will perform the part of Jack Trott in this year’s panto.

Since the competition, Andy has gone on to present for Nickelodeon and made his TV drama debut playing opposite Robson Green in the thriller series, Wire in the Blood.
