Charity karaoke

Malcolm Lazenby

Malcolm Lazenby

A CHARITY karaoke night is to be held next week in memory of a local man and to raise money for the charity who helped him.

Malcolm Lazenby died from cancer in June and now his partner Rosemary Volker is organising an evening at the Mon Fort Hotel, on Tennyson Avenue, in his memory.

The evening, which will also feature a raffle, will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Rosemary said: “Malcolm was well known in the Mon Fort and around the town, and he had the most wonderful singing voice.”

Mr Lazenby retired to Bridlington from Leeds in 2011.

The event will start at 8pm on Friday, November 16, with the karaoke beginning at 9pm. There is no entry fee, but proceeds raised from the raffle and karaoke will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
