Brewery folk festival

A FOLK festival featuring a host of talent including local singer Edwina Hayes is heading to Wold Newton this month.

She will play alongside artists including The Duncan McFarlane Band and York guitarist Andy Stones at The Moonbeams Wold Top Folk Festival at the Wold Top Brewery site on Saturday, July 11.

The festival will see entertainment taking place from noon to midnight over two stages and a session tent, while further attractions include The Wolds Theatre Group, craft stalls and locally produced food and ale.

Wold Top Brewery owner and keen musician Tom Mellor is delighted that the Moonbeams festival is coming to the Wolds

He said: "It promises to be a great event. We're high up on the Wolds with spectacular views. It's a fantastic backdrop for an amazing line-up of musicians and entertainers."

Camping is available onsite and tickets cost 25 including camping on Friday and Saturday, or 20 without camping and are available from Bridlington Tourist Information on 673474.

Children under the age of 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
