WE HAVE just returned from a weekend away and, as we came over the Humber Bridge, I noticed the car was low on petrol.
We pulled in at a service station in Beverley and paid £1.07 (although the price advertising board did say £1.08) and filled up.

As we continued on our way we noticed that petrol at Morrisons at Beverley was priced at £1.06p.

When we passed Mor
risons at Bridlington, on our way home, we noticed that the price of petrol here was £1.08p.

Are we being taken for a ride in Bridlington?

I wrote to Morrisons last year asking why we are paying more than Beverley, but I never received a reply.

Isn't it about time the people of Bridlington stood up to the Big Boys, especially now we are entering the holiday season when people need fuel to get home?

Now that it looks like Tesco will be taking over the Esso Petrol Station, I would imagine Tesco and Morrisons will make sure they get the highest price they can in this town.

Margaret Pollard, via email,

Bridlington.
