IN response to the negative press Headlands has received lately, I would like to make a positive letter in regards to a parent governor, Angela Kingston.
I always thought governors got paid for all the time they put in – not true.
This parent governor not only has four children but is a governor of two schools, a Home Start volunteer, is a parent representative for a consultative group and I would
say spends the rest of her time supporting, listening, challenging, caring, and being non-judgmental to families' circumstances.
She doesn't stand at school gates gossiping, but gets on with the job and is very in tune with what parents want in Bridlington.
Angela also has a child with a disability and fights all the time to get the right support for him. What she doesn't know about special
educational needs isn't worth knowing.
We raise a glass to you!
This letter is on behalf of many parents who have spoken to myself about this amazing woman.
