Linda replies: Everyone in this area and the surrounding villages will know of the Gypsey Race, but do you know how it came to be known by this name and when?

The Gypsey Race carries water off the Wolds and rises between Foxholes and Wold Newton, passing through Burton Fleming and Rudston before flowing on past Boynton Hall and into Bridlington between Easton Road and Woldgate. If you can help solve the mystery of it's name for Sharron please send your written information to me and I will pass it on to her.
