Petrol choice

IF Tesco takes over the petrol station in Scarborough Road, it will leave only it and Morrisons as providers of petrol in Bridlington.
We motorists will have nowhere else to go but to either of these two.

God help us if they become the only stores in town selling groceries and the like – the petrol prices show just how much more we would eventually have to pay.

I've seen a p
etrol station within 20 miles of Bridlington selling fuel cheaper than these two.

Why is that?

With the buying power the big stores have, surely they could help the motorists more, after all most of us shop there.

Why is it that the Morrisons store in Beverley can sell petrol three to four 4 pence a litre cheaper than we can buy it at the Bridlington store?

I look forward to Tesco and Morrisons commenting via the Free Press.
