I feel I must comment on the letter from Mr J Verity about parking costs.
He is incorrect in stating the parking charges have been increased by the town council.

The car parks are the responsibility of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, which has made this dramatic increase to the parking charges.

Bridlington town co
uncillors are so incensed about the matter they have asked their clerk Chris Smith to arrange a meeting with the

Bridlington members of East Riding council to discuss this and other urgent matters as soon as possible.

We fully appreciate the adverse effect these charges will have on the tourist trade in this beautiful resort and are totally opposed to them.

Coun A Padwick, via e-mail,
Deputy Mayor of Bridlington.
