I WAS amazed at the attitude of people quoted in the Free Press about the South Beach losing its blue flag while all the others retained theirs.
The article finished with a hey ho, we might get it back next year.

What a disgraceful attitude. Just what are these people thinking about?

Firstly, South Beach is beautifully maintained. It is cleaned and raked every day.

Not only is it t
he best beach in the area but must also rank with the best n England.

So what is the problem? The water tests?

South Beach has a water treatment plant. I believe the water is filtered and cleaned before being piped into the bay. Is there a problem?

Nearly £20million has been spent on the Spa, as well as thousands of pounds on the seafront getting it looking great, yet we haven't got a blue flag for the South Beach.
