Sunday saw Bridlington Rangers Blues playing their first league game for five weeks and their first home game since early December against top of the league Driffield .

Despite starting well and putting early pressure on the Driffield keeper with some well taken corners it was Driffield who made a fast break and put the ball in the net for the lead after five minutes.

The lack of competitive football for Blues and the quality of Driffield soon took the score to 3-0 before Joe Morland flicked a lovely ball on to Ricky Salter to make it 3-1.

As with the away game to Driffield before Christmas Blues played better in the second half with shots hitting the cross bar, going just wide or being saved by a very confident keeper. Salter scored again for Blues from a free kick.

Man of the match for Blues: Joshua Pilmoor.

Blues: Chapman, Duffill, Morland, Pilmoor, Steward, Hammond, Salter, Newman, Sharp, Stockdale, Spalding, Ferris, Ibbotson, Blackwell.
