Rangers Tigers U120
BRIDLINGTON Rangers Tigers kicked off on this final league match of the season needing just one point to take the title, but having to play Hornsea in second place and the only team to inflict defeat on the Tigers this season.
With the result on this occasion being more important than the quality of football and two defences that were rock solid chances were at a premium but with both teams working tirelessly to find the back of the net, it provided an entertaining 0-0 draw.
The Tigers midfield of Jack Torbett, Joe Davies, Josh Wright and Henry Brown worked hard to gain control and give some good distribution to forwards Kyle Matthews and Kane Robinson who never let their heads drop in trying to find a way past a very good Hornsea defence.
The stars of the match on this occasion were the Tigers back four of Declan Edmond, Jacob Ivens-Lee, Alex Cobbold and Sam Hanson who were rock solid through out the game, protecting Nathan Byron in goal, who hardly touched the ball.
Well done to Luke Freeman, Adam Morland, Grant Watson and Mark Walker on the bench, who have contributed as much as everyone throughout the season.
Tigers have just one more match to play being the League Cup final to round off a very successful season where some of the football has been a joy to watch.
Well played to the whole squad.

The first 10 minutes of the game were totally dominated by Jaguars who did everything right except put the ball in the net.
Rollinson hit the bar twice and Marshall, Faulkner and Morritt all saw their shots over or wide of the goal. It took a great strike from Marshall to set the score moving. Rangers had several breaks down the middle but were dealt with efficiently by defenders Wain, Newby, Morritt and later Wray and Appleby. Christlow was judging the breaks well and anticipating the speed of the ball in the blustery wind.
Kenney, Firth and Faulkner put through some good balls but a finishing touch was lacking. From a corner Boddy scored for Rangers. Not long after Johnson looped a long ball over the keeper and, against the run of play, the game turned round 2-1 to Rangers.
Second half Jaguars played some lovely football. Goals came from; a part blocked strong shot from Faulkner being followed up by Marshall; a long shot from a free kick by Faulkner; after hard work by Fox, Marshall; brilliant through ball from Firth for Marshall his hat-trick; Faulkner running through and picking his spot. Rangers worked hard to the whistle.
Coach John Kenney said: ”Jaguars played good entertaining football especially in the second half.
