I came to Roos for my Birthday celebration along with 23 other friends, the place looks fantastic, well lit and an interesting decor, the staff were very pleasant and attentive, everyone was called "Sir" or "Madam" and we were very well looked after. The drinks were reasonably priced and everyone (all 24 of us) were very happy with our meals. I for one will be coming back to Roos

I took my partner who is a retired chef to Roo's because we wanted to confirm or deny the reviews we saw on this web site.
I agree with all the positive comments and disagree with the negative ones.
We were met at the door and welcomed.
The waiter was attentive and engaged with us exactly as he should.
The wine list was suprisingly inexpensive compared to the majority of establishments in and around Bridlington.
The starters were nice especially the salmon goujons.
We both had the 8 oz fillet and they were cooked exactly to our request for medium rare and the steak knives provided with the main course sliced through them like they were butter.
Talk about melt in the mouth the quality of the meat was superb.
This was despite the cost of a fillet steak meal being a good £5 cheaper than most establishments I have been to in the last few years.
The chips were also very nice as they were made from real potatoes and cooked to a crisp texture on the outside as well as a smooth consistency inside.
The menu was quite extensive with good choices available for children and I would have no hesitation taking young children there as a treat.
My partner approved of everything we had and was very complimentary to the chef who we spoke to after the meal.
All in all it was a very good meal at a good price and the whole experience was a pleasure I would certainly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family and I will be going back soon.

We ate here a few weeks ago. Before we decided to visit this restaurant we checked both this sites and trip advisor, at the time most comments were negative but we decided to give the place the benefit of doubt, and we really wish we hadn't. The service was truly truly shocking just as stated on all the negative reports as was the quality and quantity of the food. It wasn't busy when we are there only knew other table eating, so it beggars belief how things were so bad. I note reading the comments on here that there is one from a user named 'harij' raving about how wonderful this place is. Interestingly the same user is on trip advisor listed as the restaurant owner!! How very very sad. In a nutshell save your money and go somewhere else! Somewhere that appreciates your custom and will do their best to ensure you have an enjoyable eating experience, as roo's clearly don't care much for customer care!!

i recently visited roos with my grandparents as a friend had said this was a newly opened establishment. i dont often see my grandparents and decided to treat them to a lovely meal. this was not the case. when first entering the building i was taken aback by the sticky tables and lack of welcome. we had to seat ourselves with no direction from staff. it then took twenty minutes for the incompetant staff to ask what drinks we would like. during this interaction my grandparents were made to feel senile and felt distinctly talked down to by staff as they loudly repeated the order even though my grandparents have no problems with either speech or hearing. it took a further 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and when they did arrive there was a large quantity of lipstick around my grandfathers glass (not his shade.) after enquiring about the oap specials we were told they did not provide any. the food was no improvement. we ordered steak pie which was still frozen in the middle and a well done steak which came out bloody, in fact the steak was so raw i expected it to get up and walk off my plate. the staff were rude and offered no discount or even an apology. After such a dissapointing meal i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I have to say as a very fussy eater Roo's is by far one of the best places i have eaten in a long time and this establishment has made eating out fun again. Wether with children, friends or family its a fantastic place to dine out. the service is excellent and all the staff are very friendly and efficient. so if your stuck for somewhere to eat or just tired of cookng get your selves down to Roo,s for that lovely experience.

Me And My Colleague From the Brid Free Press Went to Roo's for our lunch and would like to say that some of the comments on here seem very unjust. The service was good and helpfull (always with a smile) and the food was cooked to a very good standard. I had the burger which was cooked how it should be in a restaurant (rare) and the chips were bang on, my college had the chicken salad and said it was seasoned perfectly. Its good to see a good restaurant opening in Bridlington and is a massive improvement on the eyesore that was the old Aidrian Williams Store! Good Luck And Thank You For A Fantastic Meal!

Roos is truly awful. It took ages to get service and when a waitress came over she was carrying a baby. Once we got the food, my burger was raw and I got about 7 under cooked chips and its overpriced for the quality of food that would be poor at best in a greasy spoon cafe.
